They proceeded to the ocean and conveyed, “O mighty ocean! Since the Ganges deposits sins with you, it implies that you too have become sinful!” The ocean responded, “Why should I be deemed impure? I transform all sins into vapor, creating clouds!”
Reaching the clouds, they exclaimed, “O clouds! As you transform sins into rain and become clouds, it implies that you too have become sinful!” The clouds retorted, “Why should I be deemed impure? I pour down rainwater onto the Earth, allowing food to grow. The nature and quality of the food cultivated shape the human mind, emotions, and disposition!
