One day, a kid went to the ashrama of Sage Haridrumata Gautama. With utter respect and humility, the kid asked, Respected Sir, I want to live under you as a Brahmachari. If it’s not too much trouble, please acknowledge me as your understudy.

satyakama Satyakama Jabala - The Brahmin??
Satyakama Jabala

The sage asked, Dear Kid, of what gotra or ancestry, right?

The kid answered, Sir, I don’t know about what gotra I am. I requested it from my mom. She said, I likewise don’t know what gotra you are. I used to serve many individuals, and I met you in my childhood. So I don’t know what ancestry you have. Nonetheless, I am Jabala by name, and you are Satyakama. Along these lines, sir, I reveal myself to you as Satyakama Jabala.

On hearing it, the Rishi Haridrumata Gautama grinned and said, No one who isn’t a Brahmin can talk subsequently. Dear kid, bring the conciliatory fuel. I will start you as a Brahmachari, for you have not veered off from reality. Hence, Satyakama Jabala started the existence of a Brahmachari.

After a couple of days, Rishi Haridrumata Gautama figured out 400 lean and powerless cows. He said to Satyakama, Dear Kid, take these cows to the woodland and let them graze.

Satyakama knelt with submission. He said with utter humility, Sir, I will not return till these cows increase to 1,000.

Satyakama lived in the woodland and cared for the cows. A long time passed by. The number of cows expanded to 1,000.

One day towards evening, a bull came to Satyakama and addressed him, Dear Kid! Presently, we are 1,000 in number. Take us to the place of the Rishi Haridrumata Gautama. Likewise, the bull said to Satyakama, I will teach you one quarter of Brahman, or God. He is Prakashavan, or the Radiant. He who meditates over Brahman as the Radiant becomes brilliant in this world. The bull also told Satyakama that Agni, the god of fire, would teach him more later.

At sunrise, Satyakama drove the cows towards his Guru Ashrama.

In the evening, when the cows met up, he kindled a fire there, stoked the fire, penned the cows, and sat down close to them behind the fire, facing the east. Then, at that point, the fire talked to him and said, Dear kid, I will teach you one-quarter of the Brahman. He is Anantavan, or the Endless. One who knows this and meditates upon him as Endless becomes endless in this world. Then, at that point, the fire told him that a swan was going to enlighten him about the third quarter of the Brahman.

At first light, Satyakama kept on driving the cows towards the Guru Ashrama. Towards evening, when the cows met up, he kindled a fire there, stoked the fire, penned the cows, and plunked down close to them behind the fire, pointing toward the east. Out of nowhere, a swan came flying and said, Satyakama! I will teach you the third quarter of Brahman. He is called Jyotishman, or the Effulgent. One who knows him and meditates upon him as the Effulgent becomes Effulgent in this world. Then, at that point, the swan told him that a waterfowl would teach him the last piece of the Brahman.

On the next day, by and by, Satyakama drove the cows toward his ashrama.

Towards evening, when the cows met up, he kindled a fire there, stoked the fire, penned the cows, and plunked down close to them behind the fire, pointing toward the east. Then, at that point, a waterfowl preceded him and said, Satyakama! I will teach you the fourth and last piece of Brahman. He is Ayatanavan, or the All-Supporting. One who knows him and meditates upon him as the all-supporting turns into that in this world.

At the point when Satyakama arrived at the Guru’s ashram with the thousand cows, the Guru asked him, Dear kid, your face sparkles with the information on Brahman. Who instructed you to do that?

Satyakama enlightened him regarding his four educators and said, Sir, I presently demand that you explain it to me by and by. Since I realize that the information I got straightforwardly from one’s Guru is great,

Then, at that point, Rishi Haridrumat Gautama, the adored instructor of Satyakama, showed him exactly the same thing again by adding more significance to all that Satyakama had learned. In this way, Satyakama got the full information on Brahman from his Guru, and later, he turned into an extraordinary teacher.
